On May 20, 2020, Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) announced that they would retire the Evinrude brand and stop producing outboard engines. Because of disruptions caused by the pandemic, Evinrude’s supply chain was negatively affected. Globally, it has been more challenging for manufacturers to get needed components quickly and cost-effectively. As a result, the supply chain disruption hampered Evinrude’s business viability.
